As i get older i am getting pain in my hips when i sit too long; typically when i am driving. Is this consistent with arthritis or could it be something else? I know stiffness may occur but is resting pain a symptom? C

I have the same issue - i cant sit very long without getting hip pain. Heating pad and stretching and moving around before the stiffness sets in has been very helpful

It can be a number of things; tight muscles, alignment is off, spine issue etc. Constant resting pain could be a sign of arthritis but it’s best to consult with your doctor or see a physical therapist. In my experience having resting pain in hips or lower back, it was from alignment issues and I have faired well by seeing an osteopath, physical therapist and getting a good car cushion for support.
