I had knee surgery a few months ago, and I still am experiencing a dull pain. I underwent knee surgery about 5 months ago, and am still experiencing the same pain I had before the surgery. Why would this be happening?
This is a question best answered by your knee surgeon. However, in regard to musculoskeletal pain, the nervous system has a long memory. It may take time for the nerves to realize that a new joint is present and the old pain signals are not needed. It may also be the case, that structures near but outside of the knee may cause pain. Physical therapy for those structures may help pain relief.
