How often do you get a Vectra DA test and how do you and your physician use the test to manage your treatment? We'd love to hear your perspective.
Many patients still arent tracking their disease - i cant emphasize how important this is to prevent joint erosion.
we completed a survey recently and ~ 1/2 of RA patients said their doctors did not regularly assess their disease activity. Regular assessment increasingly shows it important to monitor disease activity to tailor treatment.
This is something that I have never heard of.... Anyone know why all doctors don't do this test. Seems like it's a huge benefit. Definitely going to talk to the doc on my next appointment.

My last score was also 43- which my doctor said is "normal"- same thing as Sister1 above!
I'm actually due to retake it in August. I have done it frequently and other times spread out throughout the year, haven't really kept tabs on number of times. Just depends whats needed and when. The last time was November of last year. If general blood work is showing signs of progress and being ok, my doctor doesn't always order it. Overall it has really helped me and my doctor gauge whats going on..
My doctor orders a Vectra DA test at least twice a year to monitor my disease activity level. My last score was 43. I am on a new medication now, so we will see if the new meds can bring that number down!
